79: How to pivot your business into immense growth with Tance Hughes

November 29, 2017
Tance Hughes, who was recently named on the 2018 Forbes 30 under 30 list, founded Southern Designs at 17-years old as a printing business for things like t-shirts, business cards, signs, etc. Five years into the journey, him and his team pivoted the business to a manufacturing model where they sell personalized metal wall decor and signs. After the pivot, they went from $430,000 in revenue to $3.8 million in a two-year span. They are already leaders in their category and are now focusing on diversifying their product offerings and building brand awareness as they head to the next level. They made the 2017 Inc. 5000 at #558 and have secured deals with brands like Walmart, Wayfair, Amazon and others.
